When you visit my house, you'll have to excuse the mess! I have a lawn mower in my kitchen and nowhere to shower yet! Actually it's pretty clean! Not as messy as when we started.This is where it all started and it's a building site, still, 11 months later!
Over winter we had a dozer clear the land around the place to give us some fire breaks and we had a tank put in up on the top of the hill-good pressure for fire fighting apparently-and the pipe laid underground. We have cleared a gully for a dam and planted some pigs face ground cover. I have made a swing for Laila and Adam has almost finished the eaves, next job is the guttering!
Summer projects include: *Septic tank hole dug and installed * More underground pipe *Guttering *Electrical *Plaster *Tiling... geez the list is still pretty long...like it's never going to end!
We have been very blessed with this build. I don't think we would have taken it on if we hadn't the support from the family.
Adam is very handy and Ben the builder is my brother in law, my cousin in-law is the plumber, although it's very hard to get him out of the city!! And our next door neighbour is an electrician!
Tell you what, it pays to know people!
It's a family affair now, for sure, and I'm also sure they will all want to borrow the shack as their city escape too!
Laila is happy too, she will be taking over the caravan, painting and decorating it as she pleases Xx Last I heard it was going to be bright pink!
